                                         Michael Kruger,   President and Founder

     Michael is an excellent craftsman and an inspired wood designer who has been integrating his deep understanding of wood into meaningful designs and products for 32 years.  His trade, design knowledge and practice of mindfulness is the foundation of his design specialty.  

     In 1998, he moved to remote Cortes Island and developed a deep understanding of ecology and permaculture.  There he became  a fresh food advocate and a master gardener.  He established an organic plant nursery on the island , leading him to  design his line of greenhouses and mini greenhouses to enhance the individual's gardeing experience by extending the garden season and improving the growing conditions. 

     SunPod Designs promotes a design process to create spaces and finished products that promote personal growth and wellness.  The foundation of SunPod Designs is Holistic Architecture.  The term Holism is ofter used in ecology, quantum physics and health science to describe something in its entirety.   In SunPod's case, it speaks to the holistic self in the form of the body, thought and psyche.  SunPod 's design process is founded on mindfulness and the process of developing the practice, language and vision to see and express the self in all of its forms.  The aim of SunPod Designs is to blend these three aspects of the self into the spaces we live and work in.
